My name is Dave Gershgorn, and this is my little 1KB of the internet.
I'm a technology reporter covering artificial intelligence and consumer technology. I was previously a senior writer for OneZero, a technology publication by Medium. Before that, I was the artificial intelligence reporter at Quartz (qz.com), and the assistant technology editor at Popular Science. I also have a secret past life as a photographer, and have written for the NYTimes Lens Blog.
My work has focused on how artificial intelligence impacts society, whether that be through military facial recognition or private companies clamoring to own our digital identities. I've also covered claims of harassment and discrimination inside Microsoft, and written the inside story of the data that led to the A.I. boom.
