Peaceful Protest at the Looted QuikTrip

Protesters gathered for the most peaceful large display this week in front of the looted and burned QuikTrip in Ferguson, Mo.

Preachers and musicians led crowds in chants and songs which rang of hope, rather than anger.

Suspicion still mounts in Ferguson's community about whether the suspect seen in the video released by officers Friday morning was actually Michael Brown. However, Ferguson Police Chief Jackson said Friday afternoon that Brown did have evidence from the convenience store robbery on him at the time of his death.

This, and police information saying that Darren Wilson, who shot Brown, did not know Brown was a suspect in the robbery, and engaged him because Brown was blocking traffic.

Brown's parents have called information given by local police "shameful" and claim they are trying to assassinate their late son's character.

At press time, all protesting has stayed peaceful in Ferguson.
